In recent years, the writer has been invited to speak about offset printing technology courses throughout the country. During the lecturing process, it was discovered that regardless of the type of offset press, the quality and output of its products are the most important issues that people are most concerned about. I think that the decisive factor in the actual production of human factors is often the captain of the offset printing machine. If the captain of an offset printing press feels very relaxed, clean and clean at work, this offset press The product quality and production will be satisfactory. When I was young, I had also been the captain of an offset press. Therefore, I would like to talk about my own opinion on how to be a captain of a good offset press. First, the captain's organizational skills and cultivation In the current printing factories, generally one offset press is operated by two or three people. For high-speed multicolor sheet-fed offset presses or web offset presses, most of them are operated by more than four people. Therefore, the printing process of offset presses is collective. The process of the job. In this small group, the leader is the captain of the offset press. The position of the captain is very important. He not only relates to product quality and output, but also directly relates to the economic benefits of all machine operators. I think that a good captain should be an excellent organizer first, and be well aware of the technical conditions of the local operator. He can reasonably assign tasks and make assistants responsible. In addition, the captain should guide the technical progress of assistants and help them improve their skills in a very short period of time. The captain who must be married is not an excellent captain, because in the collective work, it is difficult to do a good job by relying solely on the strength of the individual. The relationship between the captain and the assistant is both a superior and inferior relationship and a comradeship. To handle this relationship well, as the captain must strengthen his own cultivation, the so-called personal cultivation includes many, and here, I only emphasize four points. The first is to be open-minded and guard against arrogance. The ancients cloud "Three lines, there must be my teacher." To make up for the shortcomings of one's own people, we can further improve our technological level. The difference in talents between people is actually far less than we think. So why can we not learn from other comrades? The second is to treat people kindly and guard against domineering. As the saying goes: People respecting people are always respectful, which means that only respecting others can be respected by others. In actual work, some captains are arbitrarily arrogant and have a big sway on the captain's shelf. They are self-righteous and cannot listen to the slightest difference. Such a captain will sooner or later fall over his head. The third is to be reasonable and guarded against narrow-mindedness. This mainly means that during the production process, when some mechanical or technological failures occur, some captains are not actively looking for the cause and carry out comprehensive treatment. They are complaining about each other, but they are angry and sing "regrets". What's more, the suspicion of suspicion makes the atmosphere nervous and the relationship difficult. The fourth is to strengthen language training. Some people say "The language is honey, it can stick to everything." In the collective work, there are many captains who are very good-natured, but often because of inadvertent language and hurt the self-esteem of other comrades, this phenomenon occurs from time to time. In addition, some captains are rude and rude and do harm the image of the captain. The English philosopher Bacon had a famous saying: "You don't have to tell me what books you have read. I can tell you from your words; I don't have to tell me who you are dealing with and I can see from your actions." Second, the captain's technical quality If the captain does not have a high technical quality, why should he be convinced? What are the aspects of the captain’s technical quality? First of all, the captain must have the basic knowledge of the printing machine, be familiar with the structure of the offset press he or she operates, and be skilled in adjusting the key positions. The judgment of the mechanical failure must be basically accurate. Zheng Banqiao is famous for his bamboo paintings and is able to "get ready." In the same way, the captain's chest should also have the entire offset press. Whether it is domestic offset presses or imported high-grade offset presses, the basic principles are the same, but there are some differences in the specific operation methods. In general, domestically produced offset presses have a high probability of mechanical failure, but it does not mean that imported high-grade offset presses will not cause mechanical failure. Some people now think of imported high-grade offset presses as "fool machines." They believe that with only a few presses, they can operate offset presses. This misunderstanding can only lead them to stagnate in technology. In the adjustment of the offset press, the captain of a sheetfed offset press should focus on the handling of the rollers, the transfer of the dents, the front gauges, and the regulation of the side gauges, as well as the adjustment of the components themselves, with particular emphasis on three. Large pressure (roll pressure, plate pressure, printing pressure) adjustment; the master of web offset press in addition to the drum, roller pressure, printing pressure adjustment, the focus must be on the tension control, folding mechanism adjustment up and down effort. Second, we must thoroughly understand the printed materials and master the printing process. We know that paper, ink, wetting fluid, printing plates, blankets and water, ink roller, these printing materials are called the original material of the offset printing process, as the captain, must understand the basic composition of these printing materials, performance and these materials Changes in the printing process. In the printing process, it is necessary to grasp the variables in the offset printing, namely the ambient temperature and humidity, the thickness of the ink layer, the amount of the wetting liquid, the accumulation of paper and ink residue on the blanket, and the like. The theory of ink-ink balance and rational lining has always been practiced in the practice of modern offset printing. Grasping the balance between ink and ink, rationally lining the theory and putting it into practice are the criteria for measuring the captain's level and are the key elements for improving the quality of printed products. Most of the failures in the printing process are reflected in the use of printed materials and process operations. In addition, the safe and standardized operation method can also reflect the captain's technical quality. Not only that, the captain's level of operation of the offset press has an exemplary role for the assistant, especially when he first arrives. Newcomers who have just contacted the offset press take a look at the captain's operating methods. Even imitate. At present, many captains are very irregular in their operations. They do not follow the procedures but do whatever they want. As a result, they do not cause personal accidents due to mechanical failure. A captain like this should make heavy penalties. If it is the assistant who has such a problem, the captain should bear the main responsibility. Every year, the national printers are shocked by the accidents caused by improper operation of the offset press. I often say that for inanimate machines, it is not difficult to change parts, but for those who have life, how painful it is to hurt their arms and hands. I hope the captains think deeply. III. Training of Captains' Ability The offset printing process is a complex process. The problems that arise during this process are various. How to deal with these problems is a manifestation of the capabilities of the captain. What are these capabilities and how are they cultivated? I think that should be considered from the following aspects. 1. Questioning power It is almost necessary for all outstanding captains to have a thorough understanding of the matter. Some people think that only those great and outstanding figures have such qualities, and it does not matter if we do not have such quality in the personnel who perform offset printing operations. This is a very wrong idea. Questioning is a kind of extremely valuable thinking quality, skeptical vision, and exploration spirit. It has always been an important driving force for the development of human understanding. Innovation generally begins with questions. It is impossible for a good captain to have no strong doubt. I will give an example here. When we printed the first batch of prints, everything was normal. However, when we printed another batch of prints, the result was either a technical problem or a mechanical failure. At this time, we need to ask a few more questions. This is the performance of the captain's skepticism. Some captains are brave enough to explore, trace their roots, make bold assumptions, and carefully verify and try to troubleshoot problems. Some captains encounter such problems with a pair of hands and say, "This is not a job." Obviously, the latter will not be a good captain. The British philosopher Bacon said a philosophical saying: "If a person starts from a certain, he must end up with a question; if he is prepared to start from a question, he will get a positive result." 2. Observing force The so-called observation power is the ability to comprehensively, accurately, and in-depthly understand the characteristics of things, and is the ability that must be possessed to extract success. During the printing process, the captains witnessed and witnessed the need to inspect the operation of the machine, and constantly observe the changes in the water content of the printing plate and the ink level of the ink roller. In particular, the sample must be continuously drawn to adjust the ink balance through contrast observation. At the same time, we can also find a series of problems such as the condition of blankets, the change of outlets, and stencil printing. This kind of observation is not Jing Hao's point of water, but it is a very patient and meticulous job. It must not be taken lightly. 3. Judgment Observation can inspire thinking, and judgment is the determination of thinking objects. It is not an affirmation of it, it is a negative form of thinking of it. In the actual printing process, failures of one kind or another of the processes and machines often occur. At this point, judgment is very important. First of all, judgments must be true. Only on a real basis, judgments make sense; second, judgments must be accurate. This is a concrete expression of acute judgment. Of course, accurate judgments must be based on observational power and related knowledge and operational experience. In addition, judging the timeliness and timely and accurate judgment can reduce unnecessary auxiliary time and further improve the yield and quality of the prints. 4. Thinking power Correct thinking is a crucial condition for resolving problems. When there is a failure in the process or machinery during the printing operation, correct methods of thinking must be used. We must not apply rigid methods and believe in dogmas. We must believe the facts and use scanning methods. Broaden the direction of the search, rather than eager to explore in a certain direction. When something enters the line of sight, try to look at it in a different way, rather than hurrying to shift your gaze to something else. A good captain should not only be good at thinking, but also pay special attention to the cultivation of thinking methods. 5. adaptability Modern printing technology has developed rapidly in the prepress industry and is changing with each passing day, but the basic principles of offset printing presses have not undergone qualitative changes. So good captains must adapt to operate different types of offset presses in different environments. Some captains confined themselves to a certain type of aircraft. As long as they changed the model, they would not know what to do. Some captains would only work under favorable environmental conditions, and the environment would be a little worse, so they would not be able to print a good job. . Therefore, the captain must improve himself in practice. At the same time, it is hoped that the captains will master the relevant knowledge of computers as soon as possible in order to grasp the operating methods of modern high-grade offset presses and adapt to the needs of the era of knowledge economy. Fourth, several advices to the captain How can an offset press operator be an excellent captain, smartly control an offset press, and be able to print excellent prints with his assistants? In this regard, I would like to give them some advice. 1. Know yourself Knowing yourself is the first step to becoming a good captain. Recognizing yourself will make you more aware of the direction of your career. Only in the right direction, your efforts will not be in vain. Understanding oneself is based on one's own physical condition, mastery of basic printing theories, and in particular on whether you are interested in offset printing. Interest is the best teacher. 2. Cultivate yourself If you have all the conditions for doing offset printing and you have great interest, you should strive to cultivate your organizational skills, strengthen your cultivation, and establish a good relationship. In terms of technical operations, it is necessary to make every effort to do a good job. One is not afraid of suffering, and the other is not afraid of fatigue. It is necessary to practice the basic skills repeatedly, practice regularly, and get to the point where everything is in perfect condition. Generally, we can see the level of its level from the captain's operation methods. To give a simple example, such as "pulled version," some captains print a little bit on the upper and lower rules, only pulling a version to open the printing, and some captains will have to pull several times, not on the top is In the past, I have seen many similar cases. People often say: "1 minute on the stage, 10 years off the stage." From this point of view, it is not feasible to strengthen basic skills training. 3. Invest in yourself Anyone must know how to invest in themselves, that is, put a part of their income on information gathering or capacity development. Some captains of many printing companies only know how to work and do not want to spend.
The necessary quality of the captain
