The research on the asphalt pavement performance and life was started earlier abroad. At present, the mature modified asphalt technology in China is SBS modified asphalt technology, but its cost per t is more than 800 yuan higher than that of ordinary asphalt, and the construction cost is high. .
The application research of silicon-filled soil modified asphalt pavement is the "Ninth Five-Year Plan" project of the Yunnan Provincial Communications Department. A large number of tests have shown that the application technology of silicon-filled soil modified asphalt can significantly improve the road's resistance to high temperature, low temperature, aging, and road surface strength. Pavement pilot test results, after pavement application under different loads and different climatic conditions, the high temperature softening and low temperature crack resistance of bitumen have been significantly improved, the water stability has been greatly improved, and the fatigue life of the asphalt mixture has increased by more than 50%. Compared with ordinary asphalt pavement, under the same paving thickness, only 0.23 to 0.33 yuan is added for each (1cm thick). Compared with the commonly used SBS modified asphalt in China, the increase cost is only 1/5 to 1/10 of that.
