Find the root cause of "locating" to solve the problem of "failure to follow paper"

In April 1996, our factory purchased a YP4A-1 type four-color offset printing press produced by the Beijing People's Printing Machinery Factory, which was installed and commissioned by the factory's responsible person since May 21, 1996, until 1997. During the nearly one-and-a-half-year period on October 13, the paper-feeding part almost never worked normally for a long time. Because the machine has a high-sensitivity air-to-air and divergence photoelectric head detection device at the front gauge, it takes a lot of time and effort to adjust the photoelectric head in a long time of multiple repairs. Repeatedly asked the factory master to repair, but the general results are able to print thousands of normal continuous, ranging from tens of thousands of Zhang, they will relapse, is still unable to work properly.
What is the hidden fault in the paper feeding part of this machine? I am determined to work hard to figure it out. After the original manuscript from the “human machine” confirmed that there was no problem in the photoelectric part, I analyzed the cause of the failure may be the potential incomplete synchronization of the paper conveying part with respect to the host, ie irregular movement in the dislocation Existence, so I decided to start from the host to the drive of the separation head, a thorough inspection of the key and positioning taper pins in the drive link.
Firstly, the keys and taper pins on the transmission gear, sprocket, and the drive sprocket, gear, universal joint, etc. on the front gauge shaft of the main engine were dismantled one by one. No problems were found, and only the separation head remained. The positioning of the inner separation cam and the presser foot cam and its axis was not checked. Is it true that the positioning pins of the two cams have been interrupted? According to the general analysis, I think it is unlikely. Because the machine entered the factory for more than a year due to paper feeding has been ignored, so it has not officially done a lot of work, and in the course of use has never had excessive damage failure, but only through the actual inspection can make a conclusion.
According to the position of the separating head cam of the double-sided offset printing press that was basically the same as the separating head structure of this machine, I decided to take out the positioning taper pin directly on the two cams. When I was using the flashlight to inspect the two cam fixings, I did not see any traces of the locating pin except that some dust and blemishes were found on each of them. Experience shows that the small hole on the cam is the positioning screw hole used in the factory assembly positioning, but where does the taper pin go? After cleaning the two cams with petrol with doubt, I check the rotation of the hand conveyer. There are no pin and pin hole traces. And the above positioning screw hole is empty, there is no one set screw. Is this machine using a new design idea for the positioning of the separation head cam and shaft?
I began to consult the random paper feeder instructions for use with curiosity. The positioning of the two cams on the separation head in this manual is completely different on pages 22 and 33. On page 22, Fig. 11 in the manifold diagram (see Fig. 1), the separation cams and presser foot cams both have locating taper pins, while on page 33 (see Fig. 2) only the positioning screw corresponds to the shaft. There is a positioning cone pit. So what exactly is right? If it belongs to the latter, then even a positioning screw is not really puzzling. In my doubts, I suddenly thought that there are two identical models in the printing factory in Baoding City, which is more than 20 kilometers away from us. Why not visit and confirm it? When we visited the provincial printing plant, we saw that the positioning method of the two machine-separating head cams was the same as that on page 33 of the manual, and each had a positioning screw.
At this time, it can be determined with certainty that the root cause of long-term paper feeding that has plagued us for more than a year has been found, that is, the two cams do not have positioning screws. Whether it is correct or not is yet to be tested. After returning to the factory, I referred to the normal working position of the two cams of the printing press of the provincial printing factory. The two cams of this machine were fastened with screws.
So far, after six months of continuous printing, there has not been a situation like the previous one on October 13 last year.
Practice has fully confirmed that only by finding the root cause of the failure can the problem be completely resolved.
