How will the future design change? What is the purpose of future design? How will the criteria for future design evaluations change? What will future design mean for human development? In modern design, it has shaped an “artificial world”, and “artificial world” is deforming humanity today from many aspects. We have to think about these issues. The highly developed industrial “civilization” that mankind has elaborately designed, while it is intoxicated by mankind, has produced a large amount of garbage and loads on a global scale, which has seriously damaged the ecological balance. The further deterioration of the damage is inevitable. This has been recognized worldwide. The only thing we can do is only to hope that these damages will further deteriorate and can occur and slow down under our conscious consciousness. It does not make the further deterioration of these destructions a sudden catastrophe. This will allow humans to flee from desperation and make humans more sensitive to their own actions, more human and more moral.

The crisis of modern industrial "civilization" has led us to doubt the correctness of modern design ethics. Modern design blindly seeks new ideas, seeks differences, seeks for changes, and stimulates consumption to the maximum extent. This is the root cause of the “civilization” tragedy of modern industry. Future designs should have new ethical norms so as to avoid and slow down the occurrence of these tragedies. Future designs will be based on the broad path of human survival. The design will focus on maximizing resource savings, slowing the pace of environmental deterioration, reducing consumption, meeting human life needs rather than desires, and improving the quality of human spiritual life. I think that the future design must first consider the following questions: Can the product improve human living space and environment in the long-term sense? Can it help maintain global ecological balance and quality. Whether it can effectively control the excess production of products. Therefore, looking into the future, designing civilization will optimize the "civilization" of modern industry. "Less but better" will be the new ethical norm and philosophy of design art.

The aesthetic concept of stimulating consumption, whether you admit it or not, has almost become the only criterion and ethical code for modern design. This is the source of energy waste, resource destruction, and ecological disorders. For this reason, it is necessary for us to establish and promote the aesthetic concept of reasonable consumption, and to form new design criteria and ethical standards. Mankind has created too much rubbish, rather confusing, depressed and uneasy. Therefore, change is inevitable.

"Reasonable consumption" and "moral economy" are the direction of future human self-help. The duties of future design and industry are ethical and ethical. Good design, good industry will be the embodiment of correct values. To build a beautiful world, we must have a correct moral concept. This concept is completely different from the traditional concept. Traditional concepts see design as stage lighting. The design is just to create a moment of attraction. The center of design is still to cater to human desires with short-term behavioral designs, without concern for consequences. They believe that the harm caused by the design is minimal. Tomorrow's science and technology can completely solve all the damage caused by modern civilization. This is a fatal misconception, and the people who hold this view are mostly members of modern education. This is because the limitation of modern education is also the arrogance and prejudice of scholars. In the true sense of education, we should never be noble or happy, and we should never be prejudiced. Instead, we should always remain modest, cautious, courageous, and forward-looking. The purpose of education is to learn to be acutely aware of what is wrong, what should happen, and what should not happen.

The decisions made by scholars should be based on objective facts. Comes from the macro understanding of humanity and the world. It can't just stay in some illusions, prejudice, and blindly satisfy people's short-term desires. If we can learn from people, especially designers (the vanguards of future civilization construction), human civilization will take a big step forward. It is not an easy task to change the ethical and moral concepts of the long-term design or creation of human beings. However, if we can improve the human way of thinking, this will be a very gratifying achievement. Design is at the forefront of thinking. Therefore, the future of mankind depends on the design thinking of the future. The future requires true honest design and excellent design. These designs are based on thoughtful considerations, global awareness, control over physical properties, and control over human technologies. This puts human beings into a truly orderly dominance, not the passive position that is now dominated by the master.

The future design is a true understanding of the design. Gradually promote from designer to public, build a long-term, high-quality future lifestyle, living space and environment through honest and excellent design. Dieter Rams, Chairman of the German Design Council, clearly stated that the purpose of the German Design Committee is to work in an effort to influence the political and business communities to accept that "design has a crucial influence on the quality of the environment" in accordance with the principles of all humanity. The careless design of humanity today will be a devastating disaster for humanity tomorrow. Disposable fast food boxes, Freon for refrigeration, alkaline dry batteries, car noise and exhaust, electromagnetic waves for communication equipment, formaldehyde in wood-based panels, excess production of products, ruthless media infringement, industrial waste, nuclear waste, etc. Lift. At the same time, it is also developing the theory of popularization, protection, and extension of the ecological environment. And design has a lot to do in all these areas. However, future designs must have a globally valid, common design ethics and design policy. This is an indispensable and important part of the future human development strategy. In the future, economic development means "quality" growth. It is no longer an increase in "quantity," and is no longer an extravagance of waste, destruction of resources, and increased load. The quality of the design will be the key to the overall quality of the product. Designers and design engineers should fully incorporate their works into the study of new concepts of industrial civilization and will be responsible for the overall quality of the product.
