Balanced rigidity and impact blown film HDPE

A new type of HDPE resin for blown films combines rigidity and impact resistance for composite films, release films (asphalt films), paper-like films, labels, bags and heavy-duty bags. Basell Polyolefin's Hostalen GX4041 film density 0.957 g/cm3, MFR 0.38 g/10 min, tensile strength 37 MPa (MD), 35 MPa (TD), rupture elongation 400% (MD), 480% (TD ), Elmendorf tear strength 300/420 mN (MD/TD), dart impact 270 g. The test showed that the dart impact of the GX4041 is 30% to 40% higher than that of the existing grade GM9255F2. This HDPE has excellent foam stability and can be run at high yields with low gel levels and uniform appearance.
