The machine vision system can detect components where the optics allow the processor to more accurately observe the target and which components can be made effective decisions about what needs to be scrapped; machine vision can also be used to create a component that uses complex optics and The combination of software directly guides the manufacturing process.

Although machine vision applications vary, they all include the following processes.

The optical system acquires the image and the image is converted into an analog format and transferred to the computer memory.

Image processing

The processor uses different algorithms to improve the image elements that have an important influence on the conclusion.

The processor recognizes and quantifies the key characteristics of the image, such as the location of holes on the printed circuit board or the number of pins on the connector. Then this data is transmitted to the control program.

â–  Judgment and control

The processor's control program makes conclusions based on the data received. For example: these data include whether the hole in the printed circuit board is within the required specification or how an automatic machine must move to pick up a component.
