How to match corrugated paper and cardboard?

In order to make the corrugated board not only meet the quality requirements of the use, but also the cost is reasonable, the corrugated base paper and cardboard must be properly selected. The matching of the two is mainly considered in terms of quality matching and quantitative matching.

(1) Quality selection. Corrugated paperboards and cardboards with similar quality grades should generally be used to produce corrugated paperboards. For example, Class A and Class B boardboards should be made of A-grade corrugated medium. Type D and E-grade boardboards can be used for Class C and Class D corrugated papers. The corrugated cardboard made of high-strength boxboard and low-grade corrugated paper is easy to collapse and has low flat compressive strength. Improper grade matching, or resulting in quality does not meet the contract requirements, or cause waste of raw materials, the cost is unreasonable.

(2) Quantitative matching. Practice has shown that it is better to maintain the quantitative ratio of general boxboard and corrugated medium in the range of 2:1. If the corrugating base paper is weighed too low relative to the boxboard, the tooth profile of the corrugated sheet will change after being attached, and the circular arc shape will change into a rectangular structure, which will affect the thickness, side pressure strength and cushioning performance of the corrugated board; The base paper is matched with a cardboard box with a low basis weight, and the surface of the corrugated paperboard made is not even, resulting in obvious corrugated stripes and affecting the appearance and printing effect.
