Interpretation of the hidden RFID tags

Now, with everyone's increasing emphasis on convenience and security, RFID has finally found its place-from our most common access control system, to almost all of our cards, and then we still feel very Fresh mobile payment, in all of this, we have gradually brought "no touch" and "recognition" to the extreme.

However, in the face of such a fresh device that can complete the work in the "mist", our grasp seems to become "trance" along with the way it works. In the face of this simple sheet, many people may also ask this question: What kind of RFID tag is the best choice? What kind of classification do they have? Is RFID really suitable for us?

RFID also has "three separate branches"

In our impression, the time for RFID to enter our lives is probably not too short. But for the classification of RFID, I am afraid that few people can be particularly clear. In fact, RFID will also be divided into three levels according to the strength of the frequency, and for different levels, their application fields naturally have a clear division.

Low frequency RFID tags

For low-frequency RFID tags, its frequency is mostly between 30 and 300 kHz, and among our common frequencies, 124KHZ and 133KHZ are typical low-frequency RFID, and for low-frequency tags Its working distance is also limited to a distance of less than 1 meter.

For low-frequency tags, its application is mainly the application of some small identification or anti-theft devices such as containers, tools, electronic anti-theft devices. Such as animal identification collars, or tracking and recording of some items, etc. And its characteristics are also low interference, low cost, and good damage resistance.

Mid and high frequency band RFID tags

For middle and high-end RFID tags, we position it before 3 to 30MHZ. Among them, the typical frequency we often encounter is 13.56MHZ. Like the low frequency, the medium and high frequency bands are also inductively coupled. Due to their higher RF capabilities, their application areas are often located with electronic tickets , ID card, remote control lock and other areas that require high efficiency.

UHF RFID tags

For UHF tags, it is also called a microwave electronic tag. Its range is generally 433.92MHz, 862 (902) ~ 928MHz, 2.45GHz, 5.8GHz are typical operating frequencies, at the same time, it can be further divided into active tags and passive tags.

Due to the stronger radio frequency capability, this type of tag can meet the needs of multiple signals to achieve normal identification and work in the same environment at the same time. In addition, its working distance has also been extended beyond the original range, and exerts a stronger influence. Therefore, the application of equipment including button batteries is also based on this type of technology.

Besides frequency, what else do we have to look at?

In the above content, we have divided the different application directions of RFID tags at different frequencies. So besides the mentioned, what else do we need to pay attention to?

First of all, if we choose UHF tags, we must understand the relevant technical parameters. After all, for different parameters, its characteristics and service objects are also different. Including the size of the label, specific frequency, storage space, packaging form, reading and writing distance and application range, etc., we all need to focus on, otherwise in high-frequency projects, small deviations may work on the label Performance has a huge impact, which is absolutely impossible.

In addition, we must understand the environmental characteristics of the products we need to work. After all, for any label, the high and low performance are relative terms, and the right product here might face a crash. Therefore, rather than blindly chasing the overall performance of the label, it is better to apply the right medicine to the reality. Otherwise, after aimlessly chasing the height, what will remain is only more trouble.

Finally, when we consider the application of RFID, we should not ignore such a problem: for any device, it is not universal, and RFID is no exception. Therefore, when we configure RFID, we must also conduct a comprehensive inspection in advance, including how much gain this technology has in the environment, or whether we will achieve better results after our transformation, etc., rather than blindly To try and admire. After we fully understand these needs, and then correspond to the aspects mentioned above, we may be able to harvest the real best choice, and this is also the most important foundation and premise for us to build equipment.
