New polyurethane properties close to epoxy resin

RAMPF, Germany, recently introduced a new type of polyurethane cast resin that has similar processability to currently used epoxy resins.

According to experts from the China Epoxy Resin Industry Association, the cast resin can be used to process the mechanical parts of the transportation system or the soles of shoes used for climbing cliffs, and is also suitable for the manufacture of refrigerated cabinet insulation foams and packaging containers. Polyurethane is well-known for its good insulation properties, good mechanical properties and thermal stability up to 160°C. In fact, its greater advantages are shorter cycle times, lower energy consumption, and lower processing costs. (Wang Xiongwei)
