Overprinting problems caused by inaccurate positioning of the front and side regulations

After the paper can be accurately positioned, it is the key to ensure overprinting if it is sent out by the delivery paper. Let's discuss some of the more common faults in production.

â‘  The front rule of the top swing type is too high, or the cover rule on the front swing type of the bottom swing type is too high, causing the front edge of the paper to be easily lifted during positioning.

For the correct position, see (1) A ⑦

â‘¡ The falling time of the front gauge is incorrect and cannot be positioned correctly.

Re-adjust the falling time (change the position of the cam)

<This situation is generally rare, sometimes it can be seen just after the machine is overhauled. The usual adjustment procedure is to pull out the positioning pin on the front gauge cam and change the angle of the cam by adjusting the position of the long hole. After the completion, the positioning pin hole must be re-drilled and the positioning pin is inserted to prevent the position change in future operations.

â‘¢ If the front regulation of the swing-up type is used for reed detection, it is easy to hinder the positioning of the paper because the reeds are too hard. <Reeds of this type generally used in domestic printing machines are not standard parts, and are prone to uneven thickness. Such cases can be ground with sandpaper>

â‘£ Foreign objects (such as paper wool or ink dots) on the wheel or the baffle will cause the paper to not reach the positioning position smoothly.

⑤ If the side gauge cover gauge is too high, it may be pulled out, or if it is too low, it may not be pulled out of position.

The correct height should be thin paper * 3 or thick paper + 0.2.

â‘¥ The spring is too tight, causing it to be pulled over, or too loose to be pulled out of position

Adjust accordingly according to the thickness of the paper

** ③④⑤ mentioned is the mechanical side rule prone to overprint faults **

Pneumatic side gauges are easily blocked by paper wool, etc. It is recommended to clean them frequently.

⑦ The side gauge fell too early, causing the paper to be pressed by the side gauge before it was correctly positioned by the front gauge.

Adjust the side gauge to the accurate drop time according to the angular position of the machine. It can only fall and press the paper after the paper is correctly positioned by the front gauge (or the vacuum side gauge starts to suck the paper).

When adjusting the side gauge, pay attention: the side gauge should be lifted only when the feeding teeth bite the paper, so as to avoid the "three no matter what", (that is, the paper is in a free state on the cardboard) drift.
