Australia successfully developed a high barrier juice packaging cup

Australian scientists have successfully developed juice packaging cups with high barrier properties that have been adopted by fruit processors.

This kind of packaging was first used by Australian fruit processor Mel-bournebase S.PC Co., Ltd. for packaging juices and jellies. It has been widely sold in supermarkets and the shelf life of products using such packaging cups is 18 months. It has three layers of co-extruded structure, including a layer of PP, a layer of EVOH, a layer of adhesive layer, the outer layer of PP can absorb ultraviolet light, transparent packaging has high barrier properties, can prevent juice, jelly in the light discoloration.

The cup adopts the packaging machine 'target=_blank> transparent film cover, which can be filled hot or cooked. Single-color or two-color gravure printing is used on thermoformed deep-drawn cups, and can be printed locally on the packaging machine's target=_blank> cover and cup. The diameter is 89.4mm and the depth is 105mm. It adopts 6 colors printing. The cup replaces some of the metal cans for packaging juices and jellies. The application prospect is very broad.
