300 Ton Nove T Series Machine

Italy's Legno Plastics has built a new workshop to expand its production capacity of food packaging products. The workshop is entirely equipped with MACH injection molding machines from Sandretto.

About forty years ago, Castromonte, entrepreneur of Turin, Italy, formed Legno Plastics. He decided to meet the challenges in the area of ​​packaging materials and then faced the challenge of packaging plastic materials.

After more than 20 years of hard work in wood packaging materials, Carlo Sunino decided to change production, and turned to the molding of PS for personal computers. The requirements for it have been greatly improved.

For many years, Carlo Sunino's interest in plastics followed the development of the market until he decided in 1985 to take an important step. The company built the first injection molding workshop for food containers.

As the preferred supplier of important Italian food companies, Legno has developed steadily. Over the years, it has continuously expanded the scale of the company's machines. The Sandretto injection molding machine has become a major part, with clamping forces ranging from 90 tons to 350 tons. The original Sette series machines were first replaced by the Otto series and then replaced by the Nove T series. Legno company gave valuable cooperation when installing the first model.

With the installation of new machines — eight 300-ton Nove T series machines and four 150-ton and 200-ton Otto series machines — Legno fully meets the requirements for packaging containers for some special products.

Market expansion forced Legno to establish a new investment plan. Because there is a need to produce thin-walled parts in a faster cycle, for technical reasons, Legno decides to approach the suppliers who have been providing reliable support when selecting molding technology.

200 tons MACH injection molding machine

So six sets of Sandretto's MACH injection molding machine with clamping force of 200 tons was supplied to the new workshop. These machines can be operated three times a day, six days a week. The other two tonnage machines used for other molding cycles will form a "reserve" for future expansion of production capacity. One machine has already been installed and the other will arrive soon.

New investment is expected to be realized soon, and the Nove series will be updated with new Nove S machines and accumulator-assisted machines.

Sandretto is still the preferred supplier of Legno because of the technology provided, long-term cooperation and best after-sales service.
