Before that, China had almost no packaging industry, let alone package education. In 1980, the China Packaging Technology Association was established. In 1982, the China Association of Packaging and Packaging Educational Committee was established. Then the Ministry of Education incorporated the packaging engineering specialty into the undergraduate professional pilot program in 1984. It must be based on the original disciplines and highlight its own characteristics. The School of Materials Science and Engineering has experts and talents in the fields of materials and design. Combining with the discipline foundation, the packaging engineering specialty forms a combination of packaging materials, technology, and packaging system design. In today's society, the green wave is booming all over the world, and green has become a color representing the environment, representing the forest, and symbolizing life. Green packaging is a kind of green industry and it is the general trend of the world packaging industry to adapt to the development of the world environmental protection trend. As a packaging engineering major in forestry universities, we are more focused on implementing green education that protects the environment and sustainable development.

In the past 20 years, although China's packaging industry has made great achievements, as an emerging industry, its growth and development are still immature, and there is still a big gap compared with developed countries. Judging from the total amount, China has gradually become a big packaging country, but it is not a packaging power. To achieve the goal of becoming a strong nation, we need more fresh blood to supplement our country's packaging industry, so that our country can enter the world's packaging power as quickly as possible. forest.
