All requirements of animal facilities at the first level of biosafety must be met. 2. Post biohazard warning signs at doors and other suitable locations. 3. The design of the facility must be easy to clean and manage. 4. The door must be opened inward and can be closed automatically. 5. Have proper temperature, ventilation and lighting. 6. If mechanical ventilation is used, the direction of the airflow must be inward. The exhausted air should be discharged outdoors and should not be recycled inside the building. 7. Authorized personnel can enter. 8. Only experimental animals are accepted. 9. Control plans for arthropods and rodents should be developed. 10. If there is a window, it must be safe and resistant to crushing. If the window can be opened, an anti-arthropod gauze must be installed. 11. After use, the working surface should be disinfected with an effective disinfectant. 12. Work that may generate aerosols must use a biosafety cabinet (Class I or II) or an isolation box with dedicated air supply and HEPA filtered exhaust. 13. Protective clothing and other equipment must be worn in the facility and taken off when leaving. 21. There must be hand washing facilities. Persons must wash their hands before leaving the animal facility. 22. In the event of injury, regardless of the severity, appropriate treatment must be performed and reported and recorded. 23.
