In the UV offset printing process, the glaze phenomenon occurs when the ink roller runs for a long time at a high speed, which causes poor ink squeezing, and it is difficult to ensure the ink balance.

The main factor leading to the ink roller glaze is the fountain solution. First, it is necessary to ensure that the water in the fountain solution is soft water . Because the content of calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water is high, it is easy to form the ink roller glaze. At the same time, the control of some other parameters of the dampening solution is also very important. For example, the temperature should be controlled at 10 ° C, the alcohol content should be strictly controlled at 12% to 14%, and the conductivity should be controlled at 900 to 1300 μs/cm. If the conductivity of the fountain solution is high, the mineral content contained in the fountain solution will increase accordingly, which will easily lead to the generation of the ink roller glaze. Therefore, the conductivity of the fountain solution must be checked every day. Once the conductivity is found to be too high, it should be cleaned immediately. Water tank.

Ink roller expansion

It is well known that UV inks are highly corrosive, so that the ink roller that is surrounded by the UV offset ink at all times will also swell. When the ink roller is inflated, appropriate treatment measures must be taken in time to avoid adverse consequences. The most important thing is to prevent the expansion of the ink roller from being too large, otherwise it will lead to bubbles and colloid breakage. In severe cases, it will even cause fatal damage to UV offset printing equipment.

At the same time, when the pressure is too large, the heat of the ink roller causes a vicious cycle in which the ink roller expands. Therefore, the pressure of all the ink rollers must be checked once a week to ensure that the pressure of the ink roller is kept within the normal range while the equipment is running .

In addition, the ink roller should be observed from time to time in daily production. If the ink roller is found to be seriously shaken, it is likely to be caused by the expansion of the ink roller.

Tests have shown that car wash water can affect the degree of expansion of the ink roller.
